Fullstop, a supplement/special edition for the Guardian
CSM Brief
Design and produce a special edition magazine supplement for the Guardian newspaper. The subject is the English punctuation, content is based on the book “Eats shoots and leaves: The zero tolerance approach to punctuation”, by Lynne Truss. Consider the style, typography, layout, and tone of voice.
My response to the task
Lynne Truss writes about punctuation in a witty and clever style, and I wanted to carry this tone of voice onto my special edition. I wanted to follow the text with the curve and merge them. Also I wanted to engage the reader using some interaction. So I came up with the pop-up book that would combine functionality with style, an object that one would like to keep rather than toss away after they read it.
